Blog & ReviewsJourneys in Simply in SeasonRuth Scott Review (Review) Simply in Season is the cookbook I didn‘t realize I needed, but now I‘m very grateful to own it. I raised my children on recipes from More with Less and Extending the Table; however, in recent years it has been my grown children who prompt me to try to buy more organic and/or locally grown produce. They’ve been ambassadors for buying produce in season and certainly also fair trade. And their expressions of concern and teaching have had an impact on me. Now Simply in Season will be an invaluable aid in adjusting my buying and cooking to be in line with my beliefs. The book has an easy to use lay-out and a wide variety of new recipes. I’m delighted. Just like with More with Less and Extending the Table, you find yourself reading all the interesting contributions surrounding the recipes. There is inspiration, education, practical advice, cultural explanations, Bible verses, and much more you’ll just have to discover yourself. I think others will discover they needed this new cookbook too Return to the Blogs and Reviews or submit your own review or a link blog or review. |
